NucleusHealth™ Celebrates Year of Milestone Achievements

NucleusHealth continues thriving with record year of growth for both teleradiology services and cloud medical image management platforms.

NucleusHealth, the award-winning teleradiology provider and cloud-based medical image management company, today announced the corporate milestones for 2018. The company experienced continued double-digit growth in all areas of the business with its StatRad® teleradiology services and its next-generation Nucleus.io™ medical imaging technology platform.

Since their establishment, formerly named StatRad, the company has experienced 25 consecutive years of top line sales growth. This significant milestone has been marked by revenues nearly tripling in size, with a three-year average growth rate of 27% since 2013 and expected growth over 30% for 2019. These notable achievements bring solidarity to the vision of developing the first viable cloud PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System).

NucleusHealth has been involved in the interpretation and management of medical images since 1996. It is known for such services as StatRad and RadConnect® – and its new image management platform, Nucleus.io. In 2018, the StatRad teleradiologists read 1.7 million radiology studies for more than 450 healthcare sites and NucleusHealth technologies processed 430 million images overall. “NucleusHealth is in a great position to leverage its proprietary technology and client base to create an imaging ecosystem that extends beyond radiology. We are well on our way to achieving our mission to provide accessibility to medical images throughout the entire healthcare industry,” said Claude Hooton, President and COO. With continued expansion of technology solutions and partnerships with several health systems, including Bon Secours Mercy Health and Children’s Hospital of Colorado, NucleusHealth will leverage its medical image management platform to launch a pure cloud-based PACS.

The recognition of their first-generation image exchange solution at HIMSS 2018, with a Microsoft Health Innovation Award, was followed with a migration of their entire userbase to their new Nucleus.io platform in the first quarter of this year. Now managing medical images in the cloud for over 5,300 healthcare organizations, NucleusHealth can leverage their curation of the millions of studies received each year to advance machine learning and artificial intelligence capabilities. Last year, the company successfully demonstrated this capability with the Microsoft Inner Eye team to allow for annotation within the cloud-based Nucleus.io platform. “Although we have a rich history of providing solutions for teleradiology services and image management solutions, the true impact of the Nucleus.io technology will drastically increase in the coming months and years,” said Dr. Vishal Verma, Chief Executive Officer. “Last year, we processed over 400 million images in NucleusHealth technology. We believe this will grow exponentially and set the stage for the use of the secure cloud to enable AI and machine learning to help improve patient care like never before.”
