Teleradiology Services for Joint Commission Certified Primary Stroke Centers

StatRad is experienced in working with Joint Commission Certified Primary Stroke Centers. Our team follows strict protocols to ensure we provide the highest quality service and communication with our clients. We customize the process for each stroke center to match the process that has been put in place at the hospital.

Communication for Stroke Studies

All communication is documented. Whether or not a study is positive for stroke, a StatRad radiologist will verbally communicate the results with the patient’s doctor, physician’s assistant, nurse or other caregiver depending on our client’s protocol. If one of those people can’t be contacted in a reasonable period of time, StatRad will speak to the nursing supervisor. Documentation of communication on the patient’s imaging report will include the date and time the call was made, recipient of the call, and what the call was regarding.

Stroke Turnaround Time

StatRad maintains low turnaround times by treating all exams as STAT exams. However, there is a special procedure for stroke studies, which helps them be read even faster. StatRad’s average turnaround time for a stroke study is just 7 minutes.

Online Client Portal

Our team understands the requirements for Primary Stroke Centers and our tools make it easy for clients to provide reports necessary to maintain certification. Using the online portal, clients can run reports on their studies, including stroke protocol , 24/7/365.   The reports are completely customizable and can include information about turnaround time, who was contacted, name of the interpreting and reporting radiologist, date and time, and type of study.

If you’re a Joint Commission Certified Primary Stroke Center looking for a new teleradiology service provider, contact StatRad. Our superior turnaround times and physician-to-physician communication will help you deliver exceptional care to stroke patients.
