POSITION OVERVIEW

The Credentialing Analyst is responsible for ongoing credentialing, re-credentialing, and licensing to drive accelerated radiologist onboarding process into NucleusHealth.  This person will enjoy rolling up their sleeves and getting into the nitty gritty of the credentialing process for expedited processing and efficiently managing the many moving parts and pieces to rapidly on-board radiologists.  They will have a passion for developing new processes and appreciate the importance of credentialing to our organization.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • End-to-end ownership of physician credentialing including completing and processing initial and reappointment applications
  • Conduct primary source verification activities, background checks, and hospital credentialing applications
  • Ensure new radiologists are being credentialed appropriately and timely
  • Deliver and maintain credentialing and licensing paperwork meeting tight credentialing deadlines
  • Communicates with external and internal sources to verify or clarify potentially sensitive information pertinent to the application and credentialing process with minimal guidance.
  • Follows department processes and procedures for the credentialing verification process and use of the credentialing systems.
  • Updating credentialing database and analytics systems including Intellicred and Airtable
  • Actively process physician licensing
  • Ensuring timely renewal of licenses and certificates
  • Keeping track of all credentialing requirements
  • Responding to medical staff office requests
  • Updating physician and medical staff documents
  • Ability to integrate new responsibilities into current job description when needed
  • Assemble and process physician license applications with systematic organization
  • Meticulous entry and maintenance of pertinent information for licensure processing and reporting on projects
  • Work to proactively meet deadlines and expeditiously escalate if a project appears to be off-track
  • Track information related to licensing projects, updating information in a timely fashion and responding to inquiries with speed and professionalism
  • Utilize advanced problem solving skills to resolve issues and conflicts that may arise
  • Provide other administrative support as needed
  • Assist as needed with additional licensing projects
  • General office duties including, but not limited to, answering phones, emailing, faxing, making copies, scanning documents, opening and sorting mail, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2-3 years of physician provider credentialing and/ or licensing experience, preferably with a large health system or physician practice
  • 2-3 years with primary source verification processes
  • Proficient with Windows Office suite – Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Must be able to learn quickly and work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-volume, high-pressure environment
  • Strong customer service orientation and focus
  • Must be reliable and possess extreme attention to detail and documentation
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written

PREFERRED

  •  3-5 years of physician provider credentialing and/ or licensing experience
  • Certified Professional Credentialing Specialist (CPCS)
  • 1-2 years experience working with CAGH

 WORK LOCATION AND CONDITIONS

  •  Corporate office in San Diego
  • Full time, non-exempt position, with some overtime required
