2011 CMS Rule Change Makes Teleradiology Credentialing Easy

Earlier this year, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) adopted the Joint Commission’s approach of “privileging by proxy” for an “accredited telemedicine entity.” This is good news for hospitals. By using an authorized teleradiology provider, a medical staff is able to:

  • Accelerate the credentialing process
  • Reduce unnecessary paperwork
  • Save time and money

At StatRad, for example, a medical staff is able to use our completed applications and primary source verifications for the granting of privileges. As a Credentials Verification Organization (CVO) that’s authorized by the Joint Commission, StatRad makes the credentialing process quick, easy, and efficient.
